Purpose Statement:

Following is the Course Information Detail for Leadership Development Training Programs. As a courtesy for EAP customers, this Leadership Development course description is in standard continuing education format.* The Leadership development series is intended to enhance the personnel supervision skills of workplace supervisors and managers.

Objectives:

  1. Identify current trends in the workforce regarding engagement and retention of employees.
  2. Discuss the impact of high turnover on employees and the organization
  3. Identify what employees are seeking from their current or future employers and brainstorm ways to implement some of these strategies in your organization
  4. Explore ways to encourage and motivate current employees
  5. Practice effective workplace interventions with struggling employees
  6. Identify work performance problems related to substance misuse and abuse

OUTLINE

Session (Hour) I:

  • Engagement and retention trends in the workforce
  • Impact of high turnover

Session (Hour) II:

  • Identify what employees are seeking from an employer
  • Explore ways to encourage and motivate employees

Session (Hour) III:

  • Work performance problems related to substance misuse and abuse
