Purpose Statement
Connections Inc. EAP Leadership Development training 2016 gives leaders the knowledge and skills to lead collaborative and productive teams. “Flexible Leadership: Responding to What Makes Each Employee Tick” will overview some currently popular stereo typing: the Boomer mystified by Facebook; the Millennial who wears flip-flops in the office; the Traditionalist (born prior to 1946) who seemingly won’t ever retire; the cynical Gen Xer who’s only out for himself; and the Gen 2020er — born after 1997 — who appears surgically attached to her smartphone.
While generational stereotypes abound – according to one researcher, “They are just not true. There is no evidence that 35-year-old managers today are any different from 35-year-old managers a generation ago.”
Supervisors and managers must lead cooperative teams that “move beyond the labels.” This program will teach workplace leaders to use the strategies of Emotional Intelligence to understand themselves, build influence in relationships, and most effectively influence productivity and cooperation.
