I. Behavior Risk Manager (BRM)

Why Behavior Risk Manager (BRM)?  On call EAP Professionals advise managers, HR staff and supervisors who must approach questionable and counter-productive behavior.  Your leadership team will be competent and confident when they intervene.  They are coached to compassionately approach troubled employees, divert personal stressors to the EAP and balance compassion with a focus on work accountability. With leadership encouragement employees proactively seek solutions before significant job performance issues are evident!

What is Included?

A. Online manager intervention protocols and webinars at 572.72c.myftpupload.com equip managers and supervisors to approach employees whose personal issues interfere with work.

B. On call EAP professionals provide crisis support for managers and supervisors as well as employees when dealing with behavioral problems at work.

C. Monthly leadership briefings (email and/or print)

D. Web resources including on-line training webinars for effective management to enhance team collaboration and productivity.

E. Access to creative and experienced work place intervention experts consult by phone, email and print. Certified Employee Assistance Professionals will review documentation in light of best assistance practice; comment on internal policy compliance; provide memo templates; appraise and suggest policy and memo editing adjustments; and offer additional support as needed to optimize the success of manager and supervisor interventions. II. Extended Management Training

Connections “EAP Plus,” is an Optional Third Tier of Service with Extended Management Training*
A.  Leadership Orientation Education – a 4 hour classroom seminar preceded by an introductory web module. These programs are customized to the leadership policy and needs by means of classroom training and/or web based training modules. These programs can meet Drug-free Workplace supervisor training requirements for employers doing employee drug/alcohol testing. Customer employers are asked to ensure that management staff, supervisors and lead staff complete this training as per program design.- On-going access to orientation training is arranged for newly hired/promoted supervisors in a customized plan including web and in-person training options.
B.  Annual Leadership Development continuing education plan by means of semi-annual ninety (90) minute classroom training and/or e-learning modules as arranged. Access to informal discussion and consultation can be arranged in conjunction with Leadership Development programming.

C. Quarterly statistical and graphic report of all training programs made to contact person.

III. Additional Options

A. Brief Therapy. The brief therapy extension provides extended outpatient care under the EAP agreement. This adds additional hours of outpatient service available one time annually beyond the three EAP assessment/solution plan hours per person. There are no co-pays or additional third party paperwork for the consumer. Outpatient behavioral health services report the typical behavioral health and family problem admission is resolved in 6-8 sessions. Research shows that personal and family issues distract employees on the job, reduce efficiency, and contribute to co-morbid health costs. The EAP brief therapy focuses on the barriers to functioning thus enabling employees and family members to solve problems. The specific brief therapy treatment option can avoid involving a medical benefit plan and its corresponding costs. Interface protocol is arranged with the company’s medical benefit plan to facilitate services requiring hospitalization and other more intensive treatments.

B. WEB-Based Human Resource Problem Solver. Connection’s HR-OneSource provides web-based services that are designed to assist in meeting Human Resource responsibilities. This site consists of three distinct categories:
1. HR Library – Organized according to the various functions that HR managers perform, including hiring, managing employees, administration, compliance, compensation, benefits and safety. Each area includes FAQ’s, Law Overviews, Reference Materials, Forms and Documents. The Library also provides News/Court Cases, State Comparison Tables and Links.
2. Employee Handbook – This module provides you with the ability to generate your own customized employee handbook. We provide you instructions on how to generate the handbook, which policies we recommend be included and the ability to download and customize the handbook to meet your company’s needs.
3. Job Descriptions Writer – This module provides you with the ability to generate your own customized job descriptions. We provide you with the format, sample descriptions and information on how to complete the form, and how to download the finished job descriptions.
